Working with Climb Quest Milton Keynes

Since our creation, we have been fortunate to work with Clip n Climb Cambridge from the very start, and now their sister centre Climb Quest Milton Keynes.

Through this time we have formed a strategic relationship with them around inclusion and active lifestyles that is a fundamental part of the work that we do, this, in turn, has led to an exceptional friendship with them. We passionately share an ethos around inclusion for all, trying new challenges as a group and individuals and promoting healthy lifestyle activities.

The kindness of Climb Quest has allowed us to deliver monthly climbing sessions with them, for those we support alongside their siblings and parents, in a real family-focused way with a hugely positive, appreciated and social overtone. This allows not only for the children we support to have the time they need in a non-judgemental environment but also creates friendships, allowing like-minded families to meet others in a similar position to themselves, breaking down feelings of isolation.

With over 20 walls of different levels to try, plus the extremes of the Stairway to Heaven and Vertical Drop, all the ingredients are there for a fantastic visit every time, and it never fails to deliver. Not only do we have our regular sessions, but Climb Quest has also teamed up with us on fundraising activities and attended some of our other events too.

Climb Quest is very much like where climbing meets theme park, and somewhere we will always feel perfectly at home.

What Spectrum Say...

Justin Heron - CEO

“Spectrum cannot emphasise enough the value we place in our relationship with Climb Quest, in continuation of our work with their sister centre Clip n Climb Cambridge. Over the last three years of working together, we have found their team to be full of extremely dedicated, talented and kind people with a true passion for inclusion and making a difference. From our sessions with them, we have seen countless examples of progression, confidence building, physical ability and improved social communication in the children we support. We wholeheartedly cannot recommend Climb Quest highly enough.”

What Climb Quest Say...

Beth Walthew - Owner

“It’s an absolute pleasure to support Spectrum, which we’ve done since they started up as a charity through Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge, Climb Quest’s sister centre. Our ethos is to support all our visitors to have fun and feel proud about what they can achieve when climbing our walls, regardless of age, ability or confidence levels. This fits very well, with what Spectrum look to achieve with the children and families they support. Once a month, we gift Spectrum a climbing session for the children and parents that they support, plus our team get involved in other events and fundraising activities that they organise. The children and families involved in Spectrum are a real pleasure to host for all of the team here, and it’s a thrill to see how much fun and enjoyment everyone gets from their sessions. We work closely with all of the team at Spectrum, and they are a pleasure to work with.  I would strongly recommend other businesses to look at supporting this fantastic charity.”

SEND Sundays at Climb Quest

Outside of the dedicated Spectrum sessions for children with Autism, additional needs and disabilities, Climb Quest provide their own special session for those climbers with special educational needs, providing a calm environment for your child and their siblings to climb. They tend to turn their music right down, and there are plenty of instructors to help and encourage.

They also have a climbing hoist that can be accessed to help those who find it difficult to climb, or have physical disabilities that limit them. If you would like to pre-book the hoist for your child, please email them at mk@climbquest.co.uk or call them on 01908 348900
