Max Card at Spectrum

Making days out more financially accessible for families

Spectrum is proud to have teamed up with Max Card, providing access to their cards for all of our registered members. We are an authorised distributor for Max Card across the UK.

To qualify for having a Max Card, you simply need to have an active Spectrum Membership Number; no other additional criteria are required. Just head to the form below, at the foot of the page, to request your card from us. Please note your Spectrum membership number is required as part of the request process.

If you have already completed a Spectrum membership form, your membership number would have been emailed to you after we processed your form. If you haven’t yet completed one of our free membership forms, you can do this here. You only need to register with us once, but this needs to be done before ordering your Max Card.

A Max Card’s cost is just £8 (including P&P) and covers your child for approximately 2 years before it needs to be replaced, and it is posted out to you first class, including a welcome letter. The form below needs to be completed for all new Max Card requests as well as renewals/replacements. Please allow up to 72 working hours for processing.

What is a Max Card?

The Max Card is designed to make days out more financially accessible for foster families and families of children with additional needs. The discount available varies between venues.

A Max Card discount structure is based around a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) by default, but some venues extend beyond this. It is recommended that each child you support who has disabilities has their own card. Each child you request a card for needs to be registered with us, alongside their needs, under your membership number.

If you have any further questions about this, please don’t hesitate to contact us at maxcard@spectrum.org.uk, and we will be happy to help you further.

Where can I use the Max Card?

The Max Card originated in the North of England, but more and more venues across the UK nationwide are coming online with the scheme. There are thousands of attractions signed up, and that is growing all the time. Merlin Entertainment is also active in the scheme and offers up to 52% off some of their venues across the UK.

The card is the child’s property and permits access by default of two adults and two children (age dependant on venue). Venues reserve the right to ask you for proof of identity upon presentation of the card. The child for whom the card is for must be present.

The expiration date of the card is shown on the reverse of it.

How do I sign up for a Max Card for the first time or renew it?

PLEASE ALLOW 3 WORKING DAYS FOR THE PROCESSING OF NEW REQUESTS
ALL MAX CARDS ARE SHIPPED WITHIN 3 WORKING DAYS OF COMPLETED PAYMENT

Please Read Before You Submit

Please ensure that your submission is done for your Max Card in the same name as your registered membership with us and NOT the child for who the card is for. The child’s name goes on the reverse of the card when you receive it.

Ensure that all information you have entered in the form is accurate before submitting it to us. Any errors, especially in your contact and address information, will cause delays in your form being processed and queries needing to be raised back to you.

If you place an order for a Max Card and payment is not received by us within 7 days of providing you with the payment information, we will cancel the request. Many thanks!

Current Processing Schedule

Please note that we are in a period of high demand at present, and our usual delivery timeframes can be exceeded. Any errors included in your request will also add to the processing time.

Request, Renew or Replace a Max Card

This form is to be used to order a new Max Card, replace an expired one, or one that is lost/stolen.

Your Child's Max Card
Each child you support with additional needs/disabilities requires their own Max Card as it is held in their own name. A Max Card cannot be shared between children.
Each child you request a card for must be registered with us on your Spectrum membership and have additional needs that can be evidenced.
Example: Abbie Clark (01/07/2016). Please ensure their first name and surname are spelt correctly as this will be written on the reverse of the card. A new card will need to be purchased if the spelling is provided incorrectly.
Your Payment Preference
You will be sent an invoice by us via email, once your form has been checked and processed against our records. This is not an automatic payment process during the form completion. We aim to process all Max Card orders within 3 working days wherever possible.
Your invoice will be issued by us after your order is checked and processed, this is not an automatic payment at form submission.
Upgrade to Recorded Delivery (Recommended)
We can provide you with an upgraded postal option of Royal Mail Signed For® 1st Class (recommended) for an additional partly subsidised charge of £2.50. A tracking link will be sent to you via email when your order is dispatched.
