Volunteering at Spectrum

Can you help us make a difference in the local community?

Have you been looking to start volunteering?

Whether you can help for an hour a week or several, frequently or infrequently, this really makes a huge difference to what we can provide as a children’s charity. Your time and help also allow us to increase the number of children and families that we can support differently. Your help can come in many forms. This can be assisting at a session or event, fundraising, administration and media tasks, to name but a few.

One of the most important areas of focus for the Spectrum team moving forwards is our volunteering channel. As our volunteering team grows, this allows us to cover many more tasks that benefit everyone involved with Spectrum.

We appreciate that everyone has families and work taking up their everyday lives, but if you think you could even provide us with a small amount of your time here and there, then we would love to hear from you!

The only stipulations that we have in line with our volunteer policy are that you will need to complete a DBS (former CRB) check and safeguarding training. We are certain you will find being part of Team Spectrum both a lot of fun and hugely rewarding.

Spectrum

New Volunteering Position

We will be creating additional volunteer positions at Spectrum during the course of the year; many more will also follow in the future to help us sustain and manage our growth. Please do keep checking back for more information on these.

Volunteering Vacancies at Spectrum

The following volunteering roles are now available at Spectrum.

All of our volunteering roles include an induction period, allowing you and us to find out what suits you best and also enable you to get to know our fantastic team. During this period, we also complete your DBS check and give you access to safeguarding training due to our work’s nature. There are also plenty of other opportunities to expand your skill sets further.

Spectrum Volunteering Registration

Please complete our registration form below if you wish to apply for any of the available volunteering roles at Spectrum.

When completing the form, please ensure that all information you provide is accurate, especially email addresses, and that you have the permission of your referees to include their information.

Please note that if the submit button at the bottom of our volunteer registration form is not shown, we either have no positions available at the time or we have paused registrations.

The form content is left in place in these instances just to show the detail we require for an application submission.

Volunteering & Covid Impact

Please note that whilst we always welcome volunteering requests to assist us with our work, the Covid pandemic guidelines have an impact on many of our roles. This is in terms of capacity limits we need to work with at our sessions and events, implementation of training and so forth. Naturally, as we work through the lockdown roadmap exit, we expect this to expand back to usual levels of availability and accessibility.
