It takes a huge amount of time and effort to run a charity. For the Spectrum team to provide the local children, we support them with the time and services they need and deserve; it can be an around the clock task most weeks of the year. We have been fortunate to build a multi-award-winning team at Spectrum, all passionate and dedicated to working with families of children with Autism, additional needs and disabilities.
Our charity is very much parent-led, and all of the groups and services we provide are on the back of feedback we receive from the families and young people we support. Ultimately, our trustees are legally responsible for the charity, assisted fully by the Operations Team and General Volunteers.
The Spectrum Cambridge team are all volunteers themselves. As well as giving us their time and a lot of hard work, they bring to Spectrum their real-life experiences and skillsets for the benefit of everyone around them.
We are always looking for additional help in the team, so if you think you could become a volunteer for us, please contact us at hello@spectrum.org.uk for further information.
