Sleeping Beauty – Saffron Hall 💤👸🏼

Tuesday, December 22nd 2026, 11am

We hope that you can join us at the excellent Saffron Hall, Saffron Walden, for a private, relaxed performance of the professional Panto adaptation of Sleeping Beauty by our fantastic friends at KD Theatre and an exceptional cast! – Tuesday, December 22nd 2026, at 11am. Bring your friends and family along for a fantastic family performance.

Please note that no transport to the venue is provided on the day, but ample free car parking is available on site, including Blue Badge spaces. On the day, you will need to be at the venue approximately 20 minutes before the performance begins. Saffron Hall is a fantastic, welcoming, very family-friendly venue with which we have worked for several years.

The approximate duration of the performance is just over 2 hours, including an interval.

We always contact every request once the event is processed and allocated, providing as much notice as we can to families.

THE DREAMIEST PANTO OF THEM ALL! 🛌

In the kingdom of Walden Ever After, far, far away, a beautiful princess awaits her true love’s kiss to awaken her from a deep, magical slumber. But beware! The wicked fairy Carabosse has cast a spell, and only the bravest heroes can break it.

Will good triumph over evil? Only you can help decide! Boo, hiss, and cheer as our talented cast and live musicians take you on a sparkling, laugh-out-loud journey through panto land.

With spectacular costumes, dazzling scenery, toe-tapping tunes, and magical surprises at every turn, this is one pantomime you won’t want to miss!

Get ready for a Christmas full of fun, magic, and laughter at Saffron Hall!

On the day of the event, we recommend to ensure you arrive at the venue around 20 minutes before the start of the performance to allow time for us to show you to your seats and also to purchase any drinks or snacks that you wish from the kiosk.

Forthcoming Events

IMPORTANT

Please remember that our regular events, such as Clip n Climb, Climb Quest, and Spectrum Play, are often released well in advance, often months ahead and the likes of Away Days and Disneyland Paris even further.

If you’d like to request places at future events, please check our event page to see what has been released. We always recommend booking early due to waiting lists often being in place, and to also still request places if a waiting list is present, as availability can often change due to the nature of the children we support.

If you wish for siblings to attend our events, please ensure they are registered with us! Your child and contact information can be kept up to date with us at https://spectrum.org.uk/membership-update – thank you.

  • We recommend saving the numbers 07822 013562 (WhatsApp) and our Text Alert number 07441 446910 to your phone for our notifications. We also send messages from a dedicated SPECTRUM named service.
  • Your QR code (e-ticket) for the event (how you sign in with us) is typically sent within the 24 hours before the session. This also includes a final reminder of the notes and timings from this page.

Event Costs & Payment Information

The cost to attend Sleeping Beauty is £15 per adult and £11 per child (2-17). Babes in Arms are free (up to 2 years old), but no seat is provided for them, and they must be held.

The payment cut-off date for this event is set for before October 1st 2026; this will also be confirmed on your invoice. A non-refundable deposit of £5 per person is also applicable to secure your places.

Your payment can be made by bank transfer or by credit card (including the booking fee), as you prefer. We will include all the details you need for this in your invoice.

Important! – Any changes to your booking (if achievable) or the cancellation of it must be completed BEFORE the payment cut-off date set. The cost of your tickets will be due at this point, and payment will be required in full, without exception. All tickets are non-refundable after the payment cut-off date. The non-payment of any tickets purchased for you will affect your ability to attend further Spectrum events and access our services.

As always, we will look to rotate places for the event if there is high demand to ensure there is a good mix of families attending for the first time as well as those that have enjoyed Panto season with us previously.

If you have any questions about this event, please don’t hesitate to contact us at events@spectrum.org.uk

Event Payment Options

Pay in full or over time

As well as having the option to pay by BACS or Card/ApplePay/GooglePay, please remember that your event/session invoices don’t have to be paid all in one go, or straightway (with the exception of any required deposits and if the event deadline date has passed).

We know how tough it can be for families with so many things to juggle, so we make it as flexible as we possibly can, with payment deadline dates pushed into the future as far as is viable.

You can make bank transfers (partial or full) as and when you wish, as long as the balance is complete by the payment deadline date. This could be monthly, or ad-hoc and you can always see how much you have left on our live invoices using the included “review and pay” link. We can also provide split/scheduled payments by card if you ask us to.

Please Stay In Touch!

As always if you have any questions about any aspect of of our events, the payment process, or cancellations email us at events@spectrum.org.uk and we will be happy to see where we can help!

Non-Payment, Non-Cancellation & Non-Attendance

We totally understand that plans and health can change, emergencies can happen, and life can just get in the way when you least expect it to, especially as parents, carers and guardians of children with additional needs.

We also understand that such things can also be hard to talk about at times, but we always try to help the families we support as much as we can. All we ask is that you stay in touch and just be honest with us; it is so much easier to help you this way.

Please do bear in mind that non-payment of invoices and not showing for events you have been given places for will have an adverse impact across the board for you, and access to our services will be restricted.

All invoices are due in full once the deadline date has passed, without any exception. Excluding non-refundable deposits, we can only assist with refunds or cancellations at no cost before deadline dates.

As a small children’s charity, we have to be incredibly careful with funds. Any items not being paid for, has a significant impact on us and will simply reduce or prevent future events from happening, as we are just not able to absorb losses of that nature. It also prevents other families from attending, which they could have done if they had had enough notice.

We keep any payments for all events and sessions open for as long as possible to help families, but we also have commitments and deadlines to the venues we work with, which we must adhere to or lose those opportunities. Even for events that are free to you, the venue still has costs, and staffing still has to be paid for!

Please remember that the following impact will occur if you don’t pay invoices or inform us of changes to bookings.

  • You will see your places cancelled for the event; a cancellation notice will be sent to you and access to ALL our services will be immediately restricted. New requests will automatically be moved to the reserve list.
  • Any bookings for events in the future you are on with us will be immediately suspended until the matter is resolved.
  • Spectrum reserves the right to pass outstanding invoices for commercial/legal/court collection, and additional charges and interest can be applied.
  • Additionally, Spectrum has a zero tolerance for any kind of behaviour/communication that is deemed to be rude/abusive/aggressive – our team are also parents of children with additional needs and volunteer their time.

Recommendation

If you are a Facebook user, we recommend joining our private members-only Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/spectrumcio – you will need your membership number with us (starts with the letters SC) after you request to join.

As well as general information, we post here when confirmations, QR codes, reminders and so forth are sent out, so you can be sure to check your email at the right times. This is helpful as many mail providers can filter such emails to junk and other areas, so you can be sure you don’t miss anything or lose your places if it doesn’t land in your main inbox directly.

Our Instagram & Facebook stories are also good places to get news in advance and see the different things we are working on behind the scenes. We also post images, reels and stories to Instagram of our Spectrum Play sessions!

Spectrum Event & Membership Notes - Important

Before you attend any of our Spectrum events or sessions, you must complete one of our Membership forms. You only need to register with us once and then just keep your family/contact information up to date.

Please note that when you are allocated places for an event, should you not complete the payment for it, this will impact future place requests and access to all our services will be restricted.

Event WhatsApp & Text Alerts

If you request places to our events and sessions, we recommend adding the Spectrum WhatsApp number 07822 013562 and our Text Magic number 07441 446910 to your phone, as well as whitelisting the email address events@spectrum.org.uk – These are all used at different times for both confirming places and event updates, as well as our SPECTRUM named text service.
