Climb Quest Milton Keynes Sessions

Sunday, October 20th 2024

We hope that you can join us at our Spectrum dedicated session at Climb Quest, Milton Keynes.

Climb Quest is the fantastic sister venue of our good friends Clip n Climb Cambridge and is where climbing centre meets theme park, and you can experience 20 unique climbing challenges that twist, turn, light and excite. The venue is suitable for everyone from 4 years upwards and is the ultimate fun and healthy activity for you to enjoy with your friends and family. The climbing walls are perfectly accompanied by the fantastic Stairway to Heaven and Vertical Drop challenges!

The climbing walls and challenges are up to 8-9m in height!!! Over 2m taller than the walls we use at Clip n Climb!

Smaller harnesses are also available for toddlers, as are cradles for those with significant physical disabilities. There are facilities at the venue to get drinks and snacks and a fantastic upstairs viewing area to take it all in.

It would be beneficial if you were aware of how to clip/unclip your child to a climbing wall, but this can be taught on the day. Please only request places if you are sure of your attendance.

As a guideline, we will inform families if they have a confirmed place for the session or are on the waiting list by early October. We always send an email to every request received once the event is processed. Confirmed places also receive a text message from us to advise of the QR code release for the session.

Sunday, October 20th
10am – 11am
No Charge
Max 24 Children

Session Summary

The session is scheduled for between 10 am and 11 am.

You will need to be at the venue just before 10 am on the day; no transport is provided to the venue. Tuition on the centre, its facilities and climbing safety is provided at each session’s start. There are facilities at the venue to get drinks and snacks also.

We can take a maximum of 24 climbers per session, and our focus is purely on children climbing at this stage in the first instance. Spectators attending can join their children in the climbing area to watch and support them.

Please note that place requests are also limited to one spectator per child.

Our climbing sessions always receive a high amount of requests, and we always rotate attendance at the sessions to ensure as many families as possible have the chance to attend over time. There is always a waiting list for these sessions, and changes can occur, meaning places become available, sometimes at very short notice.

Climb Quest is very easy to find and located on the Kingston Centre retail park in Milton Keynes alongside the likes of Costa, McDonald’s, Subway, Home Bargains, Tesco, Boots, Nando’s, Clarks and Subway to name but a few, as well as just 10mins from IKEA. As a guideline for anyone Cambridge-based, an approximate travel duration to the venue is 1hr.

Recommendation

If you are a Facebook user, we recommend joining our private members-only Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/spectrumcio – you will need your membership number with us (starts with the letters SC) after you request to join.

As well as general information, we post here when confirmations, QR codes, reminders and so forth are sent out, so you can be sure to check your email at the right times. This is helpful as many mail providers can filter such emails to junk and other areas, so you can be sure you don’t miss anything or lose your places if it doesn’t land in your main inbox directly.

Our Instagram & Facebook stories are also good places to get news in advance and see the different things we are working on behind the scenes. We also post images, reels and stories to Instagram of our visits to Climb Quest MK!

Event Notes - Important

Before you attend any of our Spectrum events or sessions, you must complete one of our Membership forms. This form only needs to be completed once; it then covers you for all our future events and sessions. You need to ensure that you keep us updated with any changes to your personal information or circumstances.

Please note when you are allocated places for a chargeable event, a payment cut off date will be provided. If you do not make the payment deadline, your places will automatically be offered to the waiting list. We do this to ensure that the event is as full as possible, and we give as many families as we can the opportunity to be involved.

If for any reason your number of requested spectators is higher than your number of climbers then please provide the reason for this below. Please note that due to working to set numbers for health & safety., it is not always possible to accomodate this but we will try to if we can.

Health Protection

Due to the nature of the children we support, a person can’t attend our events whilst ill.

This guidance is in line with the Health Protection Agency and similar to that of many local schools. We can’t accept a person at an event or session with sickness/diarrhoea until they have been clear of this for a minimum of 48 hours. Additionally, it is not possible to accept a person with any symptoms of Covid-19.

We hope you can understand our position on this and the caution that we must exercise.
