Climb Quest Milton Keynes Sessions

Sunday, December 19th 2021

We hope that you can join us at our last Spectrum dedicated session of the year at Climb Quest, Milton Keynes.

Climb Quest is the fantastic sister venue of our good friends Clip n Climb Cambridge and is where climbing centre meets theme park, and you can experience 20 unique climbing challenges that twist, turn, light and excite. The venue is suitable for everyone from 4 years upwards and is the ultimate fun and healthy activity for you to enjoy with your friends and family. The climbing walls are perfectly accompanied by the fantastic Stairway to Heaven and Vertical Drop challenges!

The climbing walls and challenges are up to 8-9m in height!!! Over 2m taller than the walls we use at Clip n Climb!

Smaller harnesses are also available for toddlers, as are cradles for those with significant physical disabilities. There are facilities at the venue to get drinks and snacks and a fantastic upstairs viewing area to take it all in.

It would be beneficial if you were aware of how to clip/unclip your child to a climbing wall, but this can be taught on the day. Please only request places if you are sure of your attendance.

As a guideline, we will inform families if they have a confirmed place for the session or are on the waiting list for it at the start of December.

Session Summary

The session is scheduled for between 9 am and 10 am.

You will need to be at the venue just before 9 am on the day; no transport is provided to the venue. Tuition on the centre, its facilities, PPE, and climbing safety is provided at each session’s start. There are facilities at the venue to get drinks and snacks also.

Due to present regulations because of COVID-19, the venue is operating at reduced capacity. We can take a maximum of 24 climbers per session, and our focus is purely on children climbing at this stage in the first instance. Spectators attending can join their child in the climbing area to watch and support them.

Please note that place requests are also limited to one spectator per child.

It is recommended that all spectators of the appropriate age wear a face mask throughout the session.

Our climbing sessions always receive a high amount of requests, and we always rotate attendance at the sessions to ensure as many families as possible have the chance to attend over time. There is always a waiting list for these sessions, and changes can occur, meaning places become available, sometimes at very short notice. Still, waiting list numbers will be higher during this reduced capacity period than usual.

Climb Quest is very easy to find and located on the Kingston Centre retail park in Milton Keynes alongside the likes of Costa, McDonald’s, Frankie & Bennys, Tesco, M&S, Next, Prezzo and Wilko to name but a few. As a guideline for anyone Cambridge based, an approximate travel duration to the venue is 1hr.

Event Notes - Important

Before you attend any of our Spectrum events or sessions, you must complete one of our Membership forms. This form only needs to be completed once; it then covers you for all our future events and sessions. You need to ensure that you keep us updated with any changes to your personal information or circumstances.

Please note when you are allocated places for a chargeable event, a payment cut off date will be provided. If you do not make the payment deadline, your places will automatically be offered to the waiting list. We do this to ensure that the event is as full as possible, and we give as many families as we can the opportunity to be involved.

Place Requests for Sunday, December 19th only

Please ensure you have completed one of our Membership Forms prior to requesting places at our events, as a valid Spectrum Membership number is required in the place request process below.

Places Required
Please note that due to present restrictions and capacity limitations, all climbing spaces are for children only and we can only accommodate one spectator per child.
Please list the name of each child CLIMBING in your party and their relationship to you.
We work to a 1-2-1 ratio of climbers to spectators for these sessions at present. If for any reason your number of requested spectators is higher than your number of climbers then please provide the reason for this below. Please note that in most cases this is not something that we can accommodate due to working to set numbers for health & safety and being Covid secure. Every additional spectator place reduces the number of children that can climb.

Health Protection

Due to the nature of the children we support, a person can’t attend our events whilst ill.

This guidance is in line with the Health Protection Agency and similar to that of many local schools. We can’t accept a person at an event or session with sickness/diarrhoea until they have been clear of this for a minimum of 48 hours. Additionally, it is not possible to accept a person with any symptoms of Covid-19.

We hope you can understand our position on this and the caution that we must exercise.
