Our visits to Clip n Climb Cambridge and Climb Quest MK are both incredibly popular with the families we support and amongst our very favourite things to do.
2020 has been a year that many would have never envisaged would happen in their lifetime, with the enormous impact that Covid-19 has had across the world, affecting so many families in different ways and sadly causing incredible loss to so many.
March feels a very long time ago now, but it was the last chance we got to put on a harness, climb the fabulous walls and take on their challenges. Thanks to a break from the lockdown period, we have finally got the chance to return to the home of our great friends once more and burn off some energy.
We want to say a huge thank you to both venues for their support throughout the lockdown period and also praise them for their fantastic attention to detail on our return. Every aspect of the venue was carefully considered for social distancing, hand cleansing and safety in their reduced capacity arrangement. As always, the staff were incredible and supportive, to say the least.
It may take some months before we return to a regular climbing format, but it was great to be able to climb once again and see the teams that are a huge part of the Spectrum family.
Spectrum is a multi-award winning, parent-led charity, providing events and support for families of children with Autism, additional needs, learning difficulties and disabilities. We are family-focused, passionate about inclusion and supporting Special Education Needs & Disabilities (SEND).
