Good Friday was a very good day indeed, as Chelsey, Cathy, Andrea, Julie and Amy took to the streets of Littleport on their fundraising Autism awareness run, raising a fantastic £500 in the process to support our work.
Chelsey said: “Because Autism has affected my young family, and it is national Autism Awareness Week, I wanted to do something to help raise funds.”
When Cathy talked to both hers and Spectrums good friend Kim Oakhill, from Sigma Embroidery & Printing, about the event, everything fell into place as they connected with Spectrum and were provided with printed t-shirts and caps to assist the event. The team also connected with BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and the Ely Standard along the way, further promoting their efforts and also the importance of Autism Awareness.
We would like to take a moment to thank all the team for their exceptional efforts and for making a difference.
Spectrum is a multi-award winning, parent-led charity, providing events and support for families of children with Autism, additional needs, learning difficulties and disabilities. We are family-focused, passionate about inclusion and supporting Special Education Needs & Disabilities (SEND).
